Verity Welstead is a photographer based in London. She works in the interiors and still life sector as a commercial photographer and having recently completed a master’s degree at UAL’s London College of Communication is developing her interest in the politics of the family.  Her recent work ‘See How it Feels’ examined aspects of her own upbringing under conditions of eccentric care and the guise of keeping safe, woven together with the at-times neurotic feelings that occupied her with regard to her own teenagers’ safety. Her current research is in the tension  that exists in the gap between that of the self representation of the teenager and that of the parent of the teenager.
