The depth of grief and loss felt when both her teenage daughters left home surprised Verity Welstead. She collected some of the stuff they left behind together with a few precious items saved from their baby days. She worked through her range of feelings using phototherapy techniques working collaboratively with Rosy Martin. Slowly and painstakingly, she created a nest of love and security, then in the role of her teenage daughter trashed it, thus connecting with her own anger and distress. Finally, she was free to walk away and make her own space for herself.
